On the 14 and 15 of June, eight Islands of West Cork: Sherkin, Garnish, Whiddy, Bere, Dursey, Long, Heir/Hare and Cape Clear invite you to discover them and at the Islands Festival.
The aim is to promote these unique locations as places to not only visit, but to live.
Reduced ferry prices and a number of discounted and free activities make the festival, initiated in 2011, a great opportunity to cross the waters and experience a thriving island culture and a very different pace of life to that found on the mainland.
On offer throughout the Islands will be a number of activities, many organised and in by locals, including guided tours, historical talks, water-based activities, workshops, art exhibitions, ceol agus craic, food and more.
There will be a walk and talk on every Island on both days. Package deals are available for ferry, food, accommodation and guided tours.
Some Islands will have more events on, details can be found on our website: www.westcorkislands.com
